Alan Pentecost, Philadelphia, PA
Alan began ringing in an elementary church group and has been involved with handbells ever since. He loves ringing and attending conferences, he co-founded a handbell choir in college and even went on tour in Europe with a national group called Distinctly Bronze. While ringing is his passion, he also sings with the Philadelphia Gay Men's chorus, and studies piano. He has a BS in Nursing and works as an ICU nurse in Philadelphia where he also lives. He hopes to always keep on ringing.

Alison Castle, Langhorne, PA
Alison started ringing in the junior Handbell Choir at Davisville Church when she was 7 years old. Since then, she has rung with the Campbellsville University Handbell Choir in Kentucky before joining Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble in 2008. Alison is a recent graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Music in Education and teaches music at Peace Valley Elementary School. She performs regularly with pit orchestras in the Philly area as a woodwind musician.

Amanda has been ringing for 16 years. She attended Cornell University studying Fine Arts.

Becky has been ringing for 26 years. She holds a BS in Accounting from Susquehanna University and has a CPA license in PA. Becky is currently on a work assignment in the Philippines and will rejoin PHE next season.

Erica Pfleiderer, Bordentown, NJ
Erica began ringing when she was eleven years old at Faith United Presbyterian Church in Medford, New Jersey. She graduated from Widener University in 2006 with a BS in Biology and is currently working on her Masters in Zoology. Erica enjoys cooking, traveling, making jewelry and taking her dog camping. She joined Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble in spring 2011.

Gail Posey, Yardley, PA
Gail has been ringing for twenty years. She holds a BS in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College (PA) and an MA in Educational Administration and Supervision from Rider University (NJ). She is music educator at Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, NJ, where she directs the orchestra, guitar, and handbell programs. Gail also directs the handbell choir at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Levittown, PA. She is married and has a grown son. Gail is a charter member of Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble.

Ivan Boothe, Philadelphia, PA
Ivan began ringing bells one day after soccer practice in sixth grade at the urging of his grandmother as a sneaky way to get him in church. He has played in several choirs at Mountain View United Methodist Church in Cottonwood, Arizona, and more recently at Swarthmore Presbyterian Church. Ivan is the creative director of Rootwork.org and helped found the Genocide Intervention Network. Ivan graduated in 2005 with a degree in peace and conflict studies from Swarthmore College, where he wrote a thesis on third-party nonviolent intervention to prevent and stop war. Ivan is also an artist and poet. He joined the Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble in 2008.

Jennifer DeLuca, Philadelphia, PA
Jenn has been ringing handbells since she was 12 years old. She learned in her hometown of Stroudsburg, PA at Christ Hamilton Lutheran Church. In 2005 she joined the Rooke Chapel Ringers while attending Bucknell University. Jenn graduated in 2009 with a BS in Biology and BA in Music, and was thrilled to join PHE in 2009. She's now pursuing her Masters in Education with the Philadelphia Teaching Fellowship at Drexel University while teaching science at World Communications Charter School. When she's not ringing handbells, she sings with Project Philly A Cappella.

Nancy Miller Junkert, Hatfield, PA
Nancy began ringing handbells in her native Massachusetts. She has directed a variety of handbell and chime choirs for over 17 years in Illinois and Georgia. She is currently Handbell Director at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. Nancy has also been active in Handbell Musicians of America (the Guild), previously serving Area I and Area IV. She holds a BA from Georgia State University in art history with a music minor. She enjoys good coffee, art projects, and the Boston Red Sox, but the Phillies are growing on her. Nancy joined Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble in 2010.

Peter has been ringing handbells for 22 years. In addition to the Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble he has performed with the Ringers-on-the-Green in Morristown, NJ, the Rooke Chapel Ringers of Bucknell University, and Handbell Musicians of America-Distinctly Bronze East. He is a Physician Assistant for the Emergency Department at Underwood-Memorial Hospital. His passions include good food, coffee, running, and the Jersey Shore. Peter joined Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble in 2006.

Rob Mygatt, Bryn Mawr, PA
Rob’s ringing career began at age 13. Having graduated from the University of Rochester with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Rob is currently the Director of AV and Technical Theater at The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA. Along with ringing in the Adult Bell Choir at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Rob enjoys sailing and playing games. Rob joined Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble in 2006.

Robert Gardner, Haddonfield, NJ
Bob has been ringing since he was twelve years old and is currently the handbell director at the First Baptist Church in Haddonfield where his ringing began. Bob is a trained pianist, organist, and harpist, composing and arranging unpublished works for both harp and handbells. Bob is employed as a credentialed actuary working in insurance regulation. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He and his wife were high school sweethearts. They met at First Baptist in Haddonfield when she needed an accompanist to perform a vocal rendition of O Holy Night. Bob and Sherry have a married daughter and a grown son. Bob is also a life-long Phillies fan, an addict of Japanese wordless logic puzzles, and an avid beader. Bob is a charter member of Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble.

Sara Kolojejchick, Gibbsboro, NJ
Sara found her passion for ringing handbells in her freshman year of high school at Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, New Jersey. She continued to ring through high school, under the direction of Gail Posey, and occasionally rang in college. Sara attended Immaculata University and graduated in 2010 with a BA in English. She also holds a Teaching Certificate in secondary English in PA and NJ. Sara is thrilled to be renewing her passion for handbells and currently rings with the First Baptist Church in Haddonfield, NJ, as well as PHE. Sara is in her first season with PHE.
